Defined

Pop Art by Andy Warhol
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." - Marilyn Monroe

No one likes to be defined by anything negative. For instance, I don't like being defined by my anxiety and the way that it sometimes controls what I do in day to day life. I believe being defined by something is by what you can do, not what can hinder you. When I walk outside I don't go, "you know what I want to have a panic attack at this social event that I planned to go to today," that is not accurate whatsoever. When people ask who I am or what I am about, anxiety is the LAST thing I want to tell people because as soon as I do they don't believe I can handle everyday life. That comes with hindrances that anyone can struggle with; whether that be anxiety, depression, illnesses, disabilities, no one wants to be defined against what they are unable rather what they fight for everyday instead.

Being DEFINED means being exact, but it also means to mark out the boundary or limits of something. If you do struggle with something in your everyday life, I want you to know that that DOES NOT define who you are or what you can do, we are NOT DEFINED by the people we surround ourselves, and we are not defined by the things that scare us. WE ARE defined as human being's who possesses his or her own needs or goals, rights and responsibilities to themselves in everyday life. YOU DON'T have to be defined by your race, sexuality, gender, being, or by who you love. JUST BE YOU!
